Where do we go from Here?

If you're anything like me you've been asking yourself the question, "Where do we go from here?"

Allies have become antagonists, stock markets are crashing, individuals are being denied basic freedoms, and common decency is anything but common.

The world is in a period of upheaval that won't end anytime soon.

So, where do we go from here?

The part of me that wants to run and hide tells me to isolate, protect my own assets, and stay away from the news.

But the part of me that understands how connected everything is urges me to stand my ground, prepare contingency plans, and look for ways that I can be of benefit to society.

The planet and it's inhabitants need our courage right now.

The courage to speak truth to power...

The courage to organize and to bolster democracy...

And the courage to become engaged and change broken systems from within.

Will it be easy? No. But it will be worth it.

And when this current phase ends we will be able to look ourselves in the mirror knowing that we did everything we could to protect what we hold dear.
