Today is a very special day. It is my sister Brenda's birthday. I wish I could wish her a Happy Birthday in person but due to the distance we live from each other and the time of year... that's not possible.

So, I'd like to take this time to share just how precious she is to me. She's only a little older than me but has done a great job of mothering me when I needed some tender, loving care. She's provided guidance, unwavering support and a kick in the pants when necessary. She has loved me even when I have been rather unlovable.

The world is a better place for her being in it. She has the biggest heart of anyone I know. She is courageous, compassionate and fiercely protective of those she loves. If anyone needs her... she is there.

I've witnessed her gracefully enduring situations that would make the strongest beings give up and give in. Throughout her own struggles she still manages to focus on the well-being of others.

She is my hero and I love her beyond measure.

A couple of weeks ago a delightful woman called to book an appointment for a Reconnective Healing session. We felt an instant kinship that had us conversing like old friends over the details of setting up the appointment.

She asked if I had read the book, 'Roll Around Heaven'. I immediately experienced goosebumps when I heard the title so I knew that after I hung up the phone I would be placing an order on Amazon.ca

When the day of her appointment arrived I was halfway through the book and our shared love of Jessica Maxwell's writing and experiences added even more to the wonderful session we had.

I am an avid reader, especially of spiritual texts, and I get up earlier than necessary so that I can have at least 45 minutes a day to devote to the several books I have on the go at any given time.

'Roll Around Heaven' is billed as an all-true accidental spiritual adventure. Reading it has been an experience I will not soon forget. I laughed out loud, cried and felt pure love fill my being as I read about this intrepid soul's search for her Divinity.

I felt a connection to this author in a way that put me in my 'sweet spot' and kept me there even after I closed the book. I related to the way she stumbled into Spirituality and the changes her hilarious adventures brought about in the way she looks at herself and others.

I love and am deeply grateful for a  Universe that brings individuals into our lives who, while sharing what they've experienced or read, provide a sign-post for our own Spiritual journey.

My life has been enriched.... because a couple of weeks ago a delightful woman called to book an appointment for a Reconnective Healing session.

The method I use to open someone's Akashic Records is through a sacred prayer process. Part of the prayer is said out loud and includes the sentences, 'And so we do acknowledge the Forces of Light, asking for guidance, direction and courage to know the Truth, as it is revealed for our Highest Good, and the Highest Good of everyone connected to us. Oh, Holy Spirit of God...'

These words don't fit into everyone's belief systems. On a few occasions I've had the feeling that a client wasn't going to be comfortable with the wording. To them I state that they don't have to believe in the words, or God, for the process to work. I am grateful that their Records were opened in spite of their doubt.

The other evening my husband and I were discussing how many people have been booking Akashic Records readings. I have been surprised, and pleased, with the number of bookings I've had. I had thought that few people would be interested because an Akashic Records reading isn't like the usual psychic reading.

The beings in charge of the Records are very careful with what people are shown and will only allow knowledge of past lives if that life is directly related to what is going on in the present. They won't tell you what to do with any specific problem or say when you're going to meet your soul-mate. Questions requiring a yes or no answer or looking for a specific time period are not answered.

That leaves out a lot.

But if you're looking for guidance regarding your Life Path or have a desire to heal certain situations in your life the Akashic Records can be a wonderful resource. When your Records are opened you will be in a place of unconditional love receiving help from beings that  have only your Highest Good in mind. The vibration of the Akashic records is incredible. It's akin to being bathed in love.

And when I open someone's records I get to see them for who they truly are. I have the privilege of witnessing their perfection and their Divinity. I am truly grateful that I get to access the Akashic Records for myself and others. It puts me in my 'sweet spot' and is good for my soul.

Have you ever noticed that some of your best ideas come to you while you're in the shower?

When I was thinking about names for my business I meditated, posted sticky notes of possible names all over the house, and held solitary brainstorm sessions where I would sit down and write down all the names that came to mind.

These efforts resulted in some decent options but none of them felt right. So, I decided not to put pressure on myself to come up with a name on my schedule, and I chose to let go of the need to force the name to reveal itself.

Three days later, while showering, the name High Level Healing came to me out of the blue, or more correctly, out of the water cascading from the shower head.

I'd like to be able to tell you that I calmly got out of the shower and proceeded to get myself together before I went to research whether or not someone was already using the name.

But that wouldn't be truthful.

The truth is, I grabbed only one towel and rushed to the computer, hair dripping, to see if the domain name was available. Andrew was working in the office when I came in and started feverishly typing on the computer. Within ten minutes I had purchased the domain name.

Then I had to explain to my husband why his normally calm wife was behaving like a madwoman.

And that is how High Level Healing was born :-)
