As I opened my eyes this morning and focused on the amount of work that needed doing I realized that it was time to take my own advice and start practicing radical self care.

Foe some time, now, I have been counseling clients that they must care for themselves before they can be effective at caring for others. Messages I channeled  from the Higher Realms have reminded them that they cannot Serve from an empty vessel.

Now it's time for me to heed the words that have come out of my mouth.

So, beginning today, I will  take care of my needs before I take care of the needs of others (and try not to feel selfish for doing so).

I will keep myself balanced and healthy.

I will do what brings me Joy and Peace.

I will ensure my own vessel is full before I attempt to Serve from it.

If you are reading this I urge you to look within and determine if you are taking care of yourself as well as taking care  of others. If you are putting yourself last perhaps it's time for you to start practicing radical self care, too.

My wish for Humanity is an simple one. It is a wish for Peace in our hearts. For, I know that if all Beings truly felt Peace within we would lose the feeling that we need to 'defend' ourselves and we would not see others as the 'enemy".

We are at a sometimes chaotic place in the evolution of Humanity and it is more important than ever that we choose Peace and Unity over conflict and separation.

We have a wonderful opportunity to prove to ourselves how far we've come in our Spiritual Evolution. All we have to do is choose Peace.

Simple, isn't it?

I have always loved decorating my home for Christmas. The process takes about 3 days of labour but, thankfully, it is a labour of Love. During this time I prefer to be the only embodied Spirit in the room. So, after Andrew has done his part by lugging the many storage totes out of the garage and helping me set up the tree, I send him elsewhere to do his thing while I immerse myself in creating a Christmas wonderland and visiting with the ghosts of Christmas.

It doesn't take long for them to show up. As I place each ornament carefully on the tree my awareness shifts and allows me to easily feel and see my passed-on Loved Ones who understand this is one of the best times to reach me. I get to converse with these Spirits as easily as I did when they were in the physical realm. Before long the room, and my heart, is full of loving energy.

Each ornament and decoration I touch contains a memory of Love and, occasionally, my Being will overflow with emotion from that Love, leak out of my eyes and roll down my cheeks.

After the decorating is finished some Loved Ones will have moved on while others decide to stay awhile. I let them know they are welcome to visit for the entire Holiday Season and often see glimpses of them as I go about my post-decorating activities.

I understand that not all of the memories and ghosts of Christmas are positive ones for some individuals. If you are feeling overwhelmed by what the Holiday Season evokes for you I offer you my deepest condolences and a wish for a lighter heart for you. As well as a hope that the ghosts of Christmas allow their Love to enter your heart and Heal the hurt within.
