The quote by Rumi, "If you are irritated by every rub, how will your mirror be polished?" is a favourite of mine. It has been ringing in my ears for a few days, now, and was the first thing on my mind as I awoke this morning.

I've been gifted with a few opportunities over the past weeks to have my 'mirror' polished. Some have been gentle rubs. Some have felt more akin to sandpaper scraping against sensitive skin. Some of the polishing I have been grateful for.... some I'm still searching for the Blessing that eventually follows the rub.

We are Spiritual Beings having a Human experience. I know this. I teach this. And sometimes I have to remind myself of this.

When I allow my very Human ego to take part in an interaction with someone I can become irritated with the interaction. When I allow Spirit to guide me I more often quickly accept the Lesson and the Blessin' and move on.

If you find yourself in a situation that is irritating or challenging I humbly suggest you do the following: Take a deep breath, let it out slowly, then say to yourself, "If you are irritated by every rub, how will your mirror be polished?".

Who knows? You may come out of the situation shining brightly :-)

During the Summer of 2016 I will begin training individuals in the Higher Realm Healing energy modality. I am both excited and grateful that what was seeded in the early months of 2012 is coming closer to fruition.

It's been a wondrous journey notwithstanding a few bumps in the road.

I am so grateful when I receive signs from Spirit. These signs come in many forms. Some are visual, some are a feeling, some are a scent and others are actual physical manifestations that let me know I never really walk my path alone.

This past week I have been inundated with feathers and dimes. The feathers are from Angels and the dimes are from a Dear Friend who is now having a wonderful time in the Astral Plane. I have found feathers in my car, on my bed, on my person and at the entrance of nearly every building I've entered. Dimes have shown up in my pockets, on floors that I had just vacuumed, in my car and on my desk.

I treasure each item. And I am most grateful for the sense of Peace it gives me to hold a physical manifestation of Spirit's regard for me. Sometimes we just need a reminder that we are guided and protected. And it's okay to ask for that reminder from the Spirit World.

If you have a need for a sign simply ask. You may say something like, "Please show me a sign that I have Spirit looking out for me." And then wait for it. I trust that in a very short while you, too, will receive signs from Spirit.
