Today is a special anniversary for me. Six years ago today my vehicle was rear-ended by another vehicle traveling at a high speed. The impact was enough to actually break my seat, write off my car and cause a number of injuries that were life-changing.
The first few months after the accident were a haze of pain and physio appointments. If you had told me then that I would eventually celebrate what happened to me I would have called you crazy and been quite offended.
But six years after the event I can look at things from a different perspective. Although part of the journey was painful and fear-filled, the lessons I learned and the souls I encountered along the way have brought a depth and meaning to my life that are priceless.
If not for the accident I wouldn't be doing the work I do today. Chronic pain and the limitations of what traditional treatments could do for me led me to energy healing.
The many appointments and classes I took led me to the wonderful souls I count among my dearest friends today.
I now realize what a Blessing I was given six years ago. And I am truly grateful for that Blessing.
