I have almost gotten used to the Beings who show up during a Reconnective Healing session or Reconnection. On a daily basis I have the honor of interacting with the Angels, Guides, Masters, Loved Ones or Pets of the individual who is there for a session. I am always grateful and in awe but rarely flustered. Until this past week.
Even before we started the session something different was in the air. I reminded the individual that if I got any strong scents that I may cough or sneeze. These 'Spirit' smells I experience are very real to me and can cause a reaction in my physical body.
I was already smelling something. I was able to identify the scent as a combination of what I knew was marijuana and incense. A very pungent aroma. Then I heard the song 'Me and Bobby Mcgee'. The name Janis Joplin popped into my head. Then the scent grew stronger and the song got louder. When I realized that the Spirit of Janis Joplin was actually in the room I got a wonderful chill all over my body as a confirmation that it was, indeed, her.
I would like to be able to say that I kept my composure and silently welcomed her into the space and asked her if she had a message for my client. But that wouldn't be true.
All that ran through my head for what seemed like an eternity was, "Holy S**t! Janis Joplin is in the room!". Mind you, I still kept working with the Reconnective frequencies. My hands moved to the interesting places and I was aware of the registers the client's body was showing. After a time Janis receded from the room and I had to wait until the session was over before talking to my client about what I had experienced.
When discussing the event with my client it became clear why Janis chose to visit during the session. This client interacted with Joplin's music on a regular basis and had a true understanding and appreciation for the soul who had incarnated as Janis Joplin. This wise individual regularly honored Janis Joplin and her music.
So Janis Joplin chose to honor the client :-)
And I was honored to be a witness to that.
