If you've never heard of binaural beats, here is a condensed explanation: Binaural beats were originally discovered in 1839 by physicist Heinrich Wilhelm Dove. He learned that when signals of two different frequencies are listened to separately, one in each ear, the brain detects the variation between the frequencies and tries to reconcile that difference. In doing so, the brain creates its own third signal which is equal to the difference between those two frequencies. To get the full effect, the binaural beats must be listened to via earbuds or headphones.
I use delta wave recordings when circumstances prevent me from getting enough sleep.
