At a recent family Dinner I realized that I really have nothing to complain about in regards to my work. In our family the first question we ask each other after "How have you been?" is '"How has work been?" That clearly shows that work is an important part of who we are.
While eating we were sharing stories, some funny, some bizarre of the happenings in our workplaces. When it was my turn to share, I said. 'Work is great. I've had wonderful experiences all week. My clients have been lovely people. One even gave me those flowers over there.' There was a short silence then someone said, 'Maybe the rest of us are in the wrong line of work'.
I feel Blessed to have the opportunity to do what I do. Whether teaching, conducting a healing session or doing a reading, I enjoy every aspect of what I do. I've never had what I would term a bad experience.
Every day I know that I will have an opportunity to interact with beautiful souls. I witness their courage, humour, strength and resilience in the face of challenges that would tempt most to us to give up or give in. I see that wonderful light in their eyes when they've experienced the beauty of their own being. I've been in silent awe when an experience we've shared cannot be described in words.
Then, at the end of the session, I usually get hugged.
It doesn't get better than that. So, again, I have no complaints :-)
