Over the past several days I have had the unpleasant experience of witnessing a Human Being fall off a pedestal.
The same individuals who once praised this Human Being and placed him above themselves are now vilifying him.
It's been a time of reflection for me. I own the fact that I had a part to play in placing this Being on a lofty perch. My regard for the work he was doing caused me to view him through rose coloured glasses. And now that the glasses are off the picture isn't quite as pretty.
But it doesn't negate the Good that he has done and will continue to do. And I have learned a valuable lesson. And that lesson is.... Don't put anyone on a pedestal. They might get hurt falling off.
