I accepted long ago that Spirit works in mysterious ways. And the adventures of yesterday were no exception.
I was printing and binding manuals for an upcoming workshop. Due to a full schedule it had to be done at this particular time or it wouldn't get done at all. So, I had allotted a set amount of time along with a buffer for anything outside of my control.
This part of my work normally goes rather smoothly. However, yesterday everything that could go wrong did. I felt tension rise within so I balanced myself and then decided to listen to Caroline Myss while I continued with the task.
What should have taken an hour stretched into 2 and I was grateful for the background voice that kept my mind busy while I dealt with a suddenly temperamental printer and a binding system that had forgotten its purpose.
Although I had listened to this particular recording several times I was hearing it on a deeper level. It moved me in a way that is beyond description. Concentrating on her words allowed me to do the task at hand without frustration.
Before I knew it I was binding the last of the manuals. I prepared for the same difficulty I had with every other manual I had bound this day but was surprised when this one was done in record time, with no difficulty, and was finished at the exact time of the recording.
I smiled when I realized how perfectly Spirit had orchestrated the happenings of the day. But for the difficulty of doing the work I would not have listened to what I needed to hear.
